A Savage Choice for L.A. Poker Classic tournament director

He was the face of the World Series of Poker for years, and since has become the first celebrity poker tournament director -- now Matt Savage will get a chance to run the 2009 L.A. Poker Classic.

The event was on the hunt for  TD to handle the Commerce Casino event, and with Savage the have found one who can make the “world’s largest poker room” shine.

The current TD, Cheri Dokken, retired in November, opening the door for a new director, and the Commerce Casino couldn’t do better that the most well recognized tournament director on the planet.

Savage brings not only all his years of experience to the table but also what he learned as a cofounder of the Tournament Director’s Association, which he founded in 2001 with David Lamb, Jan Fisher and Linda Johnson.
