Absolute Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot tops $300k

Absolute Poker's popular Bad Beat Jackpot game has again reached that magic $300,000 mark.

"Poker Players from all over the world are visiting Absolute Poker to see what the fuss is about," said David Clainer, Senior VP of Absolute Poker. "The great thing is that the jackpot is over $300,000 and it is growing faster than ever."

The Bad Beat Jackpot pays out if a player loses a Texas Hold'em hand while holding quad 8s or or better.

The jackpots is grown through 50c being taken from hands at specific tables. The money is spread between the person who received the bad beat and all the others involved in the hand.

The biggest payout to date was when a player lost with a 10-high Straight Flush to a King-high Straight Flush. The total jackpot was $267,042.97.
