The English Poker Open will take place at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in Nottingham from September 15 – 17, 2009. The event features the biggest buy-in the casino has seen so far with an entry of $5000 + $300. It’s being billed as a warm-up to the WSOPE in London.
The hope is that big-name players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and others who are already in town for the World Series of Poker Europe or the European Poker Tour London will be attracted to the tournament, setting the stage for more events in 2010.
