2008 WSOP Main Event - Day 2A Results

Deanna Goodson - 9 Jul 2008

1,251 Day 1A and Day 1B survivors dragged themselves back for more brutal punishment on Day 2A to of the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event. The day turned out to be chock-full of fast-paced play. The big stacks added to their coffers, while the short stacks headed to the door in rapid-fire succession. Our final prediction for WSOP Main Event winner in ’08, Scotty “Prince of Poker” Nguyen was one of these.

Other notables who didn’t survive the rough and tumble action of Day 2A included 2008 Ladies NLHE Champion Svetlana Gromenkova, Jimmy “Gobboboy” Fricke, Kathy Liebert, Anna “Poker Pixie” Wroblewski, Neil Channing, Paul Wasicka, Erick Lindgren and Barry Greenstein.

At the end of the day, only 466 players remained like Patrik Antonius and his lovely wife Maya Geller-Antonius, Hoyt Corkins, Chau Giang, Tony Hachem, David Colclough, Hasan Habib, Kido Pham, Noah Boeken and Erik Seidel. The chip leader is Brian Schaedlich with 801,000.
