Michael Martin loves Europe(credit: Poker Stars Blog)
Young American says he prefers European poker events, and then proceeds to win one.
Well, technically Michael Martin made those comments AFTER he won the PokerStar’s sponsored EPT event at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, but the sentiment is still the same. This 24 year old poker player and travler from Pennsylvania beat out nearly six hundred players, including a whose - who of poker pros, to take the biggest chunk out of the £3,349,200 prize pool.
Greg Raymer was there, as was Joe Hachem and Chris Moneymaker, and four of the players who are soon to be fighting it out for the delayed World Series of Poker main event table -- Ylon Schwartz, Peter Eastgate, Darus Suharto and David Rheem.
Martin has made some significant cashes before, with total live tournament winnings now more than $3 Million.
