Anthony Arlott, a financial advisor from England, has won the Teesside leg of the Gala Casino British Poker Tour (GCBPT), defeating more than 200 players in the process.
The Teesside leg of the GCBPT took place at the Gala Casino in Stockton on Tees. Many of the UK’s top poker professionals ventured to the Teesside tournament to try their luck at the top spot including Keith ‘The Camel’ Hawkins, CT Law and Richard Trigg.
However, it was Anthony Arlot who emerged victorious after a great heads-up match against James O’Connell. Arlott came from behind and took down the final pot to earn the title. A grand total of 212 players paid their £500 + £50 to play in the NLHE Main Event. Only 20 walked away any money for their efforts.
Here are the final table results:
1) Anthony Arlott - £28,000
2) Jim O'Connell - £26,000
