Deep Stack Extravaganza II

James Cameron - 23 Jun 2007

It might sound like a new Dominos pizza, but the Deep Stack Extravaganza (Mark Two) is actually a bit more exciting (unless you really, really like Dominos pizza.) The event is one of the few poker series that dare challenge the World Series of Poker, and is running now at the Venetian Casino.

Returning after a successful run last year, the DSE, as the name implies, gives a generous slice…er, helping… of chips to each player, as well as nice and lengthy blind levels (40 to 60 minutes) in order to give poker players a chance to employ their strategies without rushing to that inevitable all in moment. Last year’s prize pool was $1.6 million, so look for deep pockets to go along with the deep stacks this year.
