TULSA, OK – Doug Freiss of Katy, TX, scored the Oklahoma title in the 6pm, $300+40 Limit Hold’em Championship event Saturday, February 16, during the “Oklahoma State Championship of Poker” at the Cherokee Casino, in Tulsa. He cashed for $8,544. Doug was relieved when the tournament was over saying, “It feels really nice to win! This was a great tournament and the poker staff really did an excellent job.”
The players decided on a chop when there were six left, taking $8,544 each. They played out the rest of the game for the title, seat, and championship ring.
The final table lasted three hours and when it was all said and done, Doug Freiss took out half the final table and ended up on top.
