EPT Gets Hungry for Hungary

Today the first ever Hungarian European Poker Tour event kicks off in Budapest.

The biggest poker tournament in Hungary is underway today as the European Poker Tour makes their first stop in the country, beginning an event that will make a handful of players very, very happy.

The event takes place in Budapest’s Sofitel Hotel. But just because this is the first time the EPT has come to Hungary doesn’t mean that Hungary never came to the EPT.

Hungary poker stud Denes Kalo wsa a runner up not only at the EPT Baden event but also the EPT Grand Final, and ranks among the top ten earners in EPT history. Giving him a run for his money will be Valdemar Kwaysser, a relative newcomer to international poker and the victor of the very first Latin American Poker Tour in Costa Rica.
