The Polish spot on the fifth season of the European Poker Tour has kicked off in Warsaw!
The PokerStars sponsored European Poker Tour has kept their Polish post to their fifth season, and it just got underway on Saturday at the Hyatt Hotel in Warsaw.
The EPT Polish Poker Open 2008 is expected to host a bevy of PokerStars pros, including Gavin Griffin, Luca Pagano, Bertrand Grospeillier (better known online as “ElkY”, Marcin HOrecki, Dario Minieri, Alex Kravchenko and two poker ladies, Isabelle Mercier and Katja THater, who was a finalist in the Season 3 Warsaw event.
Only 400 players will participate in this event, competing form $2.7 million (PLN 8 million), paying $7k (PLN 21k) to play.
This is only the third stop out of eleven for Season Five of the EPT, which will wrap up with the Grand Final in Monte Carlo in May of next year.
The winner of this event, hosted by Casinos Poland (and Century Casinos) will get a berth in the Grand Final.
