695 players walked into the Borgata on Day 2 of the Winter Open Main Event. The starting field was rather large and the casino didn’t have enough dealers initially. However, the folks at the Borgata scrambled and tournament action was only delayed by 20 minutes.
Kathy Liebert, Ted Forrest and Victor Ramdin were among the players to hit the rail during Day 2. Departures were fast and furious with more than 300 players heading home in the first four levels, or five hours, of play.
Juan Catala has the chip lead with nearly 900,000 chips. Bill Edler and former WSOPC Atlantic city champion John Racener remain as does Esther Taylor, one of the few women remaining in the competition.
