Event #14 at the 2008 World Series of Poker was a $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud Tournament. 158 of the world’s toughest poker players, mostly professional, took to the felt in this tournament, bringing the total prize pool up to $1,485,200.
Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu narrowly missed the final table in this event. Negreanu, playing under the Poker Stars’ banner, went out in 11th place, earning $33,417 for his efforts. Ivey, a member of Team Full Tilt, was one shy of the final table. His ninth place finish was good for $37,130.
