The second season of the Grosvenor Casino UK Poker Tour (GUKPT)is set to kick off on Monday at the Grosvenor Casino in Brighton.
The GUKPT tour circuit 2008 consists of 11 week-long festivals culminating in a Grand Final at the Victoria Grosvenor in December. Each leg of the tour will feature a number of different events culiminating in a £1000 buy-in main event in London.
The GUKPT 2007 attracted the best British Poker players including Roland de Wolfe, Joe Beevers, Victoria Coren, and Marc Goodwin. The popularity and prize pots of the tour meant that GUKPT events have become major stops on the tournament calendars of players from not only Britain, but also Europe.
Co-ordinated by Tour Manager Jonathan Raab, GUKPT events have a standard format. The Brighton Tour will be similar to all GUKPT events
