Justin “Lockdown Tex” Allen defeated 102 other players to take the World Series of Poker Circuit New Orleans title at Harrah’s in the Louisiana capital. The $5,150 WSOPC Main Event was part of the 2008 Winter Bayou Poker Challenge.
Allen, a 21 year old poker pro from Dallas, TX has only recently begun playing in live action events. The former college student defeated Larry Price of Greta, LA in heads-up play. Price had a small chip advantage when heads-up play began. Unfortunately, Price lost a key hand with an A,2 against Allen’s pocket sixes.
Soon after, the tournament was history and Allen won. These are the results:
