Latin America Poker Tour

Premiering in May 2008, the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), which is sponsored by PokerStars, brings poker to a new region of the globe.

The first organized tournament series in Latin America, the LAPT has already crowned two champs. Julien Nuijten, an online qualifier from Denmark, took down the first event, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Valdemar Kwaysser, who hails from Hungary, won the second tournament, which occurred in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica.
