720 players entered the 43rd event of the 2008 World Series of Poker, a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha 8/b event. Some big name players such as Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker and Shannon Shorr made bank in the tourney. As the final table got underway, Erik Seidel and Martin Klaser remained in the hunt.

Seidel, who is still best remembered by many as the runner up to Johnny Chan at the 1988 World Series of Poker Main Event, a feat immortalized in the flick Rounders, has eight WSOP bracelets to his name. He was looking for his ninth but came up a bit short. Seidel was sent to the rail in fourth place, busted out by Casey Kastle’s full house. Seidel collected $68,304 for his efforts.

Kastle, who helped KO most of the final table in conjunction with Germany’s Martin Klaser, made it all the way to heads-up play against the Full Tilt pro. Klaser had about a 3-to-1 chip advantage over the Arizona resident and wasted little time in winning his first bracelet.
