34 year old Australian by the name of Martin Rowe entered the final table of the Asian Pacific Poker Tour Grand Final at the Star Casino in Sydney, Australia fourth in chips. After tussling with chip leader Anthony Fazzolari in a killer pot, the local man took over the chip lead … and never looked back. Rowe entered heads-up play against a fearsome professional by the name of Jason Gray with a solid chip advantage. Two hours later, he emerged victorious.
Rowe outlasted a total of 477 entrants in the APPT Grand Final to receive the trophy, AUD $1,000,000 and an entry to the Asian Pacific Poker Tournament of Champions.
