APT Signs Poker Pro Ambassadors

Deanna Goodson - 15 Sep 2008

Nam Le took down the Asian Pacific Poker Tour High Roller Tournament last week. He decided to hang around after the recent Asian Poker Tour Macau event. Also on the Chinese island for these tournaments were Quinn Do, who also made the APPT High Roller final table, and JC Tran. None of these players won anything at the APT event, but they walked away from the tournament series with something a bit better – each of the three tournament professionals will know represent the Asian Poker Tour as an ambassador.

As Tom Hall, the CEO of AsianLogic Plc., the company that owns the APT, said “we have big plans for these guys and are happy they signed with us to spread the word about the APT worldwide.”

Le, who has more than $5 million in tournament earnings to date, is one of the biggest threats on the circuit these days…and he isn’t even 30 yet. He mentioned that he’s “so happy to have got” this “deal with the APT off to the best possible start” and he’s “looking forward to representing the tour around the world.”

The next stop on the APT circuit is in Seoul, South Korea. Dates and an exact location have yet to be announced.

On the 21st of September at 19.05 UK Time Betfair Poker is hosting a $55,000 GTD Tournament. Click here for more details!
