Serena DaSilva - 23 Aug 2008

Antonio and Bruno Naves are heading to the APT Macau tournament along with some of the biggest names in poker such as Doyle & Todd Brunson, JC Tran, Nam Le and Philippines Champion David Saab. Both men have been playing the game for about four years and signed up at the Titan Poker about 2 years ago.

Antonio, the elder brother at age 31, prefers longer tournaments whereas Bruno, age 25, likes shorter SNGs, each won a $9,000 prize package at Titan Poker. Bruno won his in July while Antonio earned his nearly a month later, saying that “knowing that my brother would be at the tournament was definitely an incentive for me.” Both brothers, however, “never really imagined” that they “would both qualify at the same time for such a big and important and important tournament.”

The Naves brothers have competed in a live action tournament before at the Spanish Cup in Madrid and are excited to be going head-to-head again. Bruno said that their “family and friends can’t believe that we’re both going all the way to Macau to compete in this amazing poker tournament!” Both men agree that Bruno is the “better player.”

All will be revealed when they head to Macau (China) on August 26th for the APT Macau Main Event. The tournament begins on the 27th and ends on the 31st. It takes place at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino.
