By the beginning of Day 2, only 382 of the 842 players remained in the European Poker Tour Grand Final. Noah Boeken and Finnish poker idol Patrik Antonius were among the earlier eliminations on Day 2. Marcel “The Flying Dutchman” dispatched the handsome Finn after making two-pair on the flop.  Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen and Barry Greenstein fared no better. Each hit the rail on Day 2.

Chad Brown, a new member of Poker Stars’ professional team was ousted by PokerStars vet – and former WSOP Main Event champ – Joseph Hachem. Brown’s galpal, Vanessa Rousso, also went from competitor to spectator during the day.

As the action finished, only 129 players remained. 80 of these will make bank during Day 3. The remaining players included Raymond Rahme and Anna “Poker Pixie” Wroblewski. Canada’s Sorel Mizzi, Italy’s Luca Pagano and Australia’s Hachem were among the chip leaders at the end of the day. Sitting atop the chip heap was Oyvind Riisem, a young Norwegian player who took fourth place at the WSOPE Main Event in 2007.

Riisem had more than 440,000 chips, about 60k more than his nearest competitor Johnny Lodden, also of Norway.
