In 2002, the Party Poker Million cruise first set sail. Kathy Liebert made history by becoming the first woman to win one million in a tournament. In 2003, Howard Lederer defeated Chip Jett for the title. Erick Lindgren was the winner of the third installment of this series. The second, third and fourth Party Poker Millions were part of the World Poker Tour. Mike Gracz, a Polish national, took down the final WPT co-sponsored version of this tournament in 2005, winning $1,500,000.

In 2006, the fifth installment of the tournament, was won by 22 year old Mike Schneider. A resident of Minnesota, Schneider is the youngest PPM winner to date. He defeated professional poker player Kenna James in heads-up play. The Million VI wasn't held until May of 2008. For more information on that event, visit PartyPoker.com
