The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour German Open at Dortmund came to a close with a heads up bout between Sandra Naujoks and Holger Kanisch, with the final hand having Naujoks dominated but holding the chip lead.
AQ versus A9 was the hand and it looked like Kanish may double up and hang on, but a nine eventually fell to the board and crushed his chances, and of the two German players fortune favored the fairer sex. (I have a feeling I’m getting comments for that one.)
As the champion Naujoks claimed €917,000 and the distinction of being only the second woman to win an open European Poker Tour.
Holger Kanisch as the runner up took home a nifty €533,000.
