Annie Duke Freeroll Information

Serena DaSilva - 10 Mar 2008

Annie Duke is a WSOP bracelet holder and winner of the 2004 WSOP Tournament of Champions. The kid sister of fellow pro, Howard Lederer, is one of poker’s biggest superstars. Late last year she held a $100,000 freeroll at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in California.

The event was a huge success, selling out in record time.

Now, she’s back. Duke, a spokesperson for UltimateBet.com, will host another one of these vents on March 20th. $50,000 is up for grabs for the top finisher. Anyone can qualify for the event. However, tournament entries are limited to 1,000. A few slots are still available. All a player has to do to get into the tourney is make a full house, nines full of fives (or better) while playing at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino. The player will get a stamp on his/her Serrano Card if they do indeed qualify.

The tourney itself begins at 7pm on Thursday, March 20th. The first two rounds will be played in a shootout format. This means that players will remain at their tables until only one person is left standing. After that, the remaining 40 entrants will play down to the end in a freezeout-style, elimination format.

Carlos Chavez, a resident of Banning, CA, took down the last event.
