Over the course of 5 days, a 20 year old relative unknown from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania proved his poker skill against some of the biggest names in poker. Ryan Fee defeated the likes of 218 others including Humberto Brenes, Anand “Victor” Ramdin, and Max and Maria Stern en route to the title in Costa Rica.
The rounder entered the final table as the chip leader and played an aggressive match, dispatching of many of his opponents within four hours to enter heads-up play against fellow American and online qualifier Joel Micka. The duo discussed a deal, which was not publicly disclosed. Soon after, the last hand was played and Fee collected his first place fee and the LAPT title.
