Scott Montgomery - WSOP Gold

TourneyBlog Staff - 26 Jun 2010

Poker pro Scott Montgomery has chased WSOP gold since his 2008 final table at the main event, and this year the chase is over.

In 2008 Scott Montgomery got a lot of attention (and three million dollars) for his 5th place finish in the World Series of Poker main event. Funny thing about poker pros, even with millions of dollars they don’t seem to be happy unless they have a WSOP gold bracelet to wear: after his victory in Event 36, Scott can be a happy man.

Montgomery is the fourth Canadian to win a bracelet in 2010 (along with Miguel Proulx, Aadam Daya and Pascal Lefrancois) and is now in the top-25 of all-time WSOP earnings.

Top Five from this event:
1. Scott Montgomery ($481,760)
2. Mick Carlson ($297,996)
3. Adam Richardson ($210,892)
4. Daniel Fuhs ($152,655)
5. Sebastien Roy ($111,783)
