Tom Christopher Wins Crazy Pineapple World Championship

Tom Christopher entered the Crazy Pineapple World Championship on a whim and took down the title.

Crazy Pineapple is a game much like Texas Hold’em. Three cards are dealt to each player on the flop. One is discarded after the flop, and there is both a high and low winner. The game has been spread for years in casinos around Reno and Lake Tahoe. The Sierra Poker Classic proved to be a fantastic venue for the Crazy Pineapple World Championships which were held last week.

With a buy-in of $200, event organizers stated that this was the biggest buy-in Crazy Pineapple tournament ever held. Tom Christopher, a 52 year old contractor from Las Vegas won the event. He earned $3,124 first-place prize and a ripe Dole pineapple.
