Alright, Jerry Yang won the 2007 World Series of Poker Main event less than two months ago. In many folks’ minds, the WSOP is over until next spring at least. We think that’s an unfortunate and unprofitable position to take. Do you want to win The Big One? C’mon, you’re not fooling anyone. We know you do.
The World Series of Poker Main Event is like a trial by fire. It’s poker’s biggest tournament. Everyone wants to be there, and all of those people have dreamt of winning just like you do.
There’s no need to fear. The peeps at Tourneyblog are here to help you prepare for the biggest event of your life. We want you to start getting ready for the WSOP 2008 before the end of 2007. That means that this month you’ve got to start doing stuff to improve your game.
Our suggestion for this month is to focus on the PokerStars’ World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP). The WCOOP is the biggest online tournament of poker. It begins on September 14, 2007 with a short-handed hold’em event and finishes up on the 30th with a $5,000,000 guaranteed NLHE Main Event. Last year’s winner was none other than JC Tran, one of the hottest pros in the game today. We even played in the razz tournament with none other than Victor Ramdin, a former WPT champ. The WCOOP is a virtual training ground for the World Series of Poker.
Better yet - Poker Stars is giving away over $1.5 million in free entries. Satellites are going on now. If you can win at PokerStars among the superstars of poker, then we’d say you’ve got a shot at the WSOP.
