The second first day of the Bellagio Cup IV attracted more entrants. 134 players put up the $15,000 to play in the event. John Juanda, Andy Bloch, Thayer Rasmussen, Isaac “WestmenloAA” Baron, who recently celebrated his 21st birthday, Mark Teltscher, Hevad Khan and a slew of other well-known online and brick & mortar specialists were in the house again.
During the day, Phil Laak, who was in attendance with his lovely galpal – and former Ladies Night winner Jennifer Tilly, decided to take a catnap. The dealer had to tap him awake, prompting player Raymond Davis to ask him, “Are you narcoleptic?”
Chris Ferguson and Robert Mizrachi were among the eliminations on Day 1b. A total of 96 players survived the day including all twelve of the WPT champions in attendance at the event including Kristy Gazes, Doyle Brunson, Gavin Smith and the aforementioned poker super couple of Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly.
