As the 322 remaining players sauntered into the beautiful Bellagio for the second day of play in the World Poker Tour’s seventh season, they wasted no time in knocking each other out. During the first level, sixty players hit the rail. Before long the rest of the field fit perfectly inside the Fontana Lounge.
Carmel Petresco, Nam Le and Scott Clements were just some of the casualties of that bloodbath. Phil Laak, however, reaped some major rewards and amassed a six-figured chip stack. Later on, Doyle Brunson loses a heartbreaker of a hand with TJ Cloutier’s favorite starting cards A

against Javed Abraham’s pair of fives.
The board gives Texas Dolly the nut flush draw with K

so Doyle’s all-in. However, Abraham calls with his set. The turn and river are hearts, leaving the Godfather of Poker to hit the rail. Abraham rockets up to the top of the chip heap with 440k of the big ones.
Also eliminated on Day 2 were Cody Slobaugh, Shawn Sheikhan, Isaac Baron, Tom Dwan, Jacobo Fernandez and Allen Kessler. Still going strong were Jennifer Tilly, chip leader Isaac Haxton, Thayer Rasmussen and Hevad Khan.
