Yesterday at the 2008 WSOP, Vanessa Selbst and Daniel Negreanu took down bracelets in Event #19 and Event #20. The talented duo is continuing a trend at the series, one that we’re glad to see. Professional players are winning bracelets at a much higher rate than in past years. Negreanu, with this win, rockets up to fourth place on the 2008 WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard. It’s kind of fitting, since this is his fourth bracelet.
The top spot is currently held by fellow pro Erick “E-Dog” Lindgren. Lindgren has a bracelet and a total of three cashes in the summer Series so far.
Today, the final table of the $5,000 NLHE tournament will be played. In addition, the $10,000 World Championship Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Tournament will begin.
