The World Poker Tour (WPT) has joined forces with ChiliPoker, the online home of the poker diva, Liz Lieu, to launch the first-ever WPT event on the African continent. The WPT Marrakech (Morocco) will be held this October at the famous Casino de Marrakech.
The Casino de Marrakech has been Morocco’s ‘gem’ since 1952 and is an organizer of the Marrakech Poker Open with the Es Saadi Gardens & Resorts palace and five star hotel. In addition to the Main Event, the WPT is also expected to hold a Ladies Event as part of the WPT Marrakech.
Alexandre Dreyfus, Chilipoker’s CEO, had this to say about the event, “Chilipoker is delighted to be associated with a world-renowned brand like the World Poker Tour in the creation of this unique and attractive event.
