PokerStars WCOOP 2008 – Event #16 Results

1,223 players put up $215 to take part in the sixteenth event of the Poker Stars World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP). This Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) competition allowed each player a single rebuy and one add-on. This drove the prize pool up to an impressive $546,000 with nearly $100,000 set aside for the first-place finisher.

Chris Moneymaker, the 2003 WSOP Main Event winner, made his second final table of the WCOOP when he finished fifth in this event. Money800 earned $28,665 for his efforts. Isaac “westmenloAA” Baron, one of the top online players in the world today, fought James “Andy McLEOD” Obst heads-up for the title and the bracelet. The lead switched back and forth before finally settling with the champion McLEOD.
