829 players took part in the 28th event of the 2008 Poker Stars World Championship of Online Poker. The $530 buy-in Omaha hi/lo tournament generated a $414,500 prize pool. Making the final table in this event was porcelet, who also made the final table in the 27th tourney, which was held earlier in the same day.
Nearly seventeen hours later, the final two players remained: lolovitch and Big10. Big10 had 3 million chips whereas lolovitch had about 1.1 million remaining. Within five minutes of heads-up play, lolovitch had pulled near-even and proposed 50/50 split of the leftover cash. Big10 agreed, leaving $8,000.01 left for the top finisher and the bracelet.
That would eventually go to Big10…about an hour and a half later.
