Jennifer Harman was on hand to host Event #11, a HORSE tournament with a $500 + $35 buy-in. HORSE, for those of you living under a rock (just kidding) combines several brands of poker, changing at each level. Games such as Texas and Omaha Hold’em, Razz and Stud are played in limit format, with hi-lo variants included. HORSE is a true test of a poker player’s skill because it requires deep knowledge of multiple games. Many of the pros think the WSOP Main Event should be in HORSE, not NLHE.
622 folks played in FTOPS VI’s HORSE tourney last week, creating a prize pool of $311,500 – about $60,000 more than the posted guarantee. Harman finished in 381st place, but Full Tilt Pro, Keith Sexton, a stud specialist with multiple WSOP cashes, took home $1,370.60 for 49th place.
