Bodog had a bit of an attendance issue on Sunday April 27, 2008. 658 players shuffled up and dealt with the big overlay Calvin Ayre’s crew forked over. A total of $32,500 was put into the event by Bodog itself, creating a great value for the players in the event.

Making the final table was no easy feat given the fact that some of the biggest names in the online poker world put up their cash to play in the event. These included Eric “Rizen” Lynch, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Garrett “Gbecks” Beckman – who took second over at Ultimate Bet on Sunday, and Bodog Poker Open Main Event winner Shawn “phatcat” Luman.

However, the pros were soundly defeated by the newcomers. Only muckanut, a seventh place finisher in this event in March 2008, had been there before. In the end, Daman04 took the title and the $25,000 prize.
