7,755 players entered the PokerStars Sunday Million on November 23, 2008, generating a prize pool of $1,551,000. 1200 players made bank in the event including Bryan (micon) Micon, David (WhooooKidd) Baker, Serge (adanthar) Ravitch and Halfrek. Taking the tenth position was EPT Barcelona champion Bjorn-Erik Glenne (2006). Glenne goes by the name Hikkespett online at PokerStars.
Also finishing strong was Kevin “Stammdogg” Stammen. Stammen made it to the final table for the second time this month. However, this time he took the sixth slot, adding nearly $40,000 to his online earnings.
The final two players were Danny “THE__D__RY” Ryan, who was vying for a spot at the final table over at Full Tilt’s $750,000, and xfadomas666. The THE__D__RY held a six to one chip lead when heads-up play began and made quick work of his opponent to claim the title.
