PokerStars WCOOP 2008 – Event #32 Results

The $10,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament, the second to last event of the 2008 World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP), sponsored by Poker Stars, was a highly anticipated event. 125 of the best and brightest players in the world, both online and live action, put up their money and drove the prize pool up to $750,000 with more than $287,500 going to the champion.

The bubble boy in the tournament was Bertrand “ElKY” Grospellier. ElKY has had one amazing run during the WCOOP, cashing in at least five events. However, his Poker Stars professional team mate, Andre Akkari, aka akkari, took it all the way to second place. The Brazilian poker player faced DocHolatchya in heads-up play before succumbing to a pair of cowboys in a round of stud.
