The European Championships of Online Poker concluded its 2007 run on Sunday, December 9th with the $1,000,000 Guaranteed NLHE Main Event. 992 people played in the event, which took over twelve hours from start to finish. TitanPoker, the official ECOOP 2007 sponsor, had to put up 8k to meet the guarantee.

wllkllu and Thi555555 played a grueling heads-up match that went on for more than half an hour. Thi555555 had the upper hand as heads-up play began. However, when the last hand was dealt it was wllkllu who had pulled ahead. His set of eights sealed the deal, giving him the Main Event win and the $220,000 prize for first place.
