Kelly Kim went from the WSOP to the FTOPS in one week (credit: Full Tilt Poker)

Event #19 at the FTOPS X was a $216 buy-in NLHE competition which attracted 2,526 entrants like moths to a flame. These critters generated a prize pool of $505,200 for host Kelly Kim to watch over. The eighth place finisher at the recent WSOP Main Event missed out on a slice of this pie, but Brandon Adams, Stuart Paterson, Brad “Yukon” Booth and Hendon Mob-ber Barny Boatman didn’t.

Neither did online rounders such as da_professional, imabigkidnow, S Gromenkova and SN8WMAN. Dishonorable mention goes to the unfortunately named VerySexual, who took the 20th spot and $1,515.60. Here’s hoping he can use the cash to get some condoms.

The final two players in the event were FantaKorn (two of our favorite foods mixed together…yum) and EndlessAmbition. In the end EndlessAmbition beat FantaKorn as is right.

581 players sat in on the Stud 8/b event on Friday November 14, 2008 at Full Tilt Poker, slightly bumping up the guarantee from $100k to $102,400. One of the world’s best seven card stud players, Keith Sexton, made bank in the event as did Roy Winston, Rich Grandpa and gaffel5.

Two combatants battled it out for the title. gr8expectations and blackjack9. Only one came away with the avatar and the $24,268.80.
