Allen Cunningham played host for the first event of the ninth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS). The $200 + $16 buy-in NLHE tournament had a $1 million guarantee and drew in 5,779 players, generating a prize pool of $1,155,800. Full Tilt Players came out in droves to play in the event with a few making bank including Hans Vogl (374th place), Jordan Morgan (252nd place) Steve Brecher (111th position) and the top FTP finisher Vitaly Lunkin (23rd place).

After eight hours of play, the final nine were ready to fight it out for the top spot, the title and the special FTOPS avatar. GARFIELD25 held a commanding chip lead as the action began with more than 4.2 million, about double that of his nearest opponent.

By the time heads-up play began, however, it looked like GARFIELD25 may not take the title after all. dorinvandy had a commanding chip lead as heads-up play began, dorinvandy had more than 12 million chips to GARFIELD25’s mere 5 million.

However, GARFIELD25 battled back from near-defeat and claimed the title as well as the nearly $200,000 that went along with it.
