RaiNKhaN Runner Up at Poker Stars Sunday Warm Up on 6.22.08

Serena DaSilva - 26 Jun 2008

Sure, we know that the Sunday Million is usually what catches people’s
attention … and we’ve already done a report about it (click HERE to read up on it if you’d like). However, this weekend, Hevad Khan, one of PokerStars pros, nearly walked away with the whole enchilada at the Sunday Warm-Up.

Khan isn’t a stranger to this title. In fact, he won the $215 buy-in, $500,000 Guaranteed tournament on March 25, 2008.

The 20-something poker pro from Poughkeepsie, NY is controversial for his actions both online and off. However, you can’t argue with his success. He’s consistently at the top of his game. Khan has a WPT title (Foxwood Poker Classic – Season 6) and he made the final table of the 2007 WSOP Main Event, among other things.

On June 22nd, Khan took the second slot at the Sunday Warm Up, adding $58,410 to his lifetime earnings, which are already considerable. He was defeated by Canadian player, ellgringo in heads-up play. ellgringo received more than $80k.

These are the final results:

1) ellgringo - $80,476
2) RaiNKhAN - $58,410
3) ChimRicholds - $41,795.60
4) carpetkking - $28,556
5) zazz1981 - $23,364
6) uutikki - $18,172
7) Castro - $12,980
8)  ts_teacher - $8,566.80
9) Dan87 - $5,295.84
