Bodog continued to struggle on June 1, 2008. 698 players entered the event. The site had to put up more than $30,000 to meet the 100k guarantee. The big value for the buy-in buck brought in a bunch of internet notables. The final table was chock-full of them.

pkb6786 took seventh place in this event on April 13, 2008. Manube made a reappearance in this tourney. The last time he place in this event was August 12, 2007. Koxi82, who won this event on February 17, 2008, finished in sixth this time.

The heads-up match up was between Al Carmo, aka alcarmo, and Aaron “ImTheJackal” Hacker pit two Bodog bigwigs against each other. Carmo made three final tables in the first installment of the Bodog Poker Open and Hacker made the final table of this tournament six times and won it once previously (August 19, 2007). His experience in this event may have had something to do with the final results. ImTheJackal destroyed alcarmo on the last hand, laying claim to the top prize of $23,600 and the first place finish.
