Event #20 was a NLHE triple shootout with a buy-in of $530. A maximum amount of 729 folks were allowed. That number was met over an hour before the event’s start time. The total prize pool was $300,000. James “mig.com” Mackey, the winner of Event #14 earlier this WCOOP, Lee Nelson, The___D___RY, THAY3R and lilholdem954 were among the stars showing up for the tournament.
mig.com narrowly missed the final shootout table after being knocked out by The___D___RY. AJunglen7 crippled Cobra234, who was holding pocket kings, after making a set of fours on the flop. This contributed greatly to Cobra’s elimination on the very next hand.
AJunglen7 then knocked out Nutedawg in seventh. The___D___RY sang his tournament swan song in sixth place, which was good for $14,580. Junglen made it all the way to third place. Unfortunately, A,9 was no match for the flopped set of tens of his opponent, lyerly_. lyerly__ went on to defeat Zock’n’Rock in heads-up play, winning the event, the bracelet and over $75,000 in cold, hard cash.
