PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event 10 $162 action and results.
The Event 10 $162 buy-in event was capped at 2,048 players, and that is where it stood at start time. And that tally put the total prize pool up to $307,200.00, just past the $300K guarantee. The final 256 players were set to be paid, meaning that anyone who made it through three rounds of heads-up action would be in the money. That was not as easy as it sounded, however, for the majority of the players in the field today, as anything can happen to sway the results - a good or bad run of cards, one key hand that backfires, or simply a bad beat.
Quite a few Team PokerStars Pros came out for the heads-up fun today, including Gavin Griffin, Marcin Horecki, Johnny Lodden, Vanessa Rousso, Victor Ramdin, William Thorson, Peter Eastgate, and Ivan Demidov. Even Friend of PokerStars Darus Suharto made an effort in this event. But the only two to make it into the money were Chris "Money800" Moneymaker, who finished 207th, and JC Alvarado, who left the tournament in 91st place. But the field also included a number of the biggest names in online poker, including USCphildo, Timex, THAY3R, shaniac, SCTrojans, and apestyles. Brownstown19 came in looking for another victory after taking down Event 6, and westmenloAA did the same after his first day win in Event 1.
And for the hour of heads-up action and everything that led up to it, Ridemin`out was awarded the $42,936.00 first place prize, the champion's watch, and the coveted SCOOP title. Congratulations!
