PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event 12 $215

PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event 12 $215 action and results.

The medium stakes level of Event 12 required a $200 + $15 buy-in and attracted 704 players to the virtual felt. That subsequently crushed the $50K guarantee by pushing the prize pool to $140,800.00, of which the final 104 players standing would receive an apportioned amount.

Since this is a non-hold'em game, many players who specialize in hold'em decided to sit it out, though a few Team PokerStars pros did put themselves into the mix. That bunch included Andre Akkari, Alex Gomes, Gavin Griffin, Ivan Demidov, Katja Thater, Isabelle Mercier, Marcin Horecki, and Maria Mayrinck. But it was Greg "FossilMan" Raymer who outlasted them all, making his way into the money before finally falling in 63rd place, which garnered him $408.32 for the effort.

It was kasparov007 who managed to emerge victorious from the tumultuous world of limit stud hi/lo. He took the $17,500 first place money, along with a special SCOOP champion's watch and the tournament title. Congratulations!
