Andy Bloch hosted a $200 + 16 buy-in Limit Hold’em tournament on Monday August 11, 2008 at Full Tilt Poker. Limit is largely a mathematical game, which is right up the former MIT blackjack player’s alley. 932 players took to the virtual felt in this event, falling short of the 1,000 needed to meet the guarantee so FTP took a bit of hit on this event. However, what’s slightly bad for Full Tilt meant a bigger value for the player as the $200,000 prize pool was still up for grabs.
108 players made bank in the event including Michael Craig, Miami John Cernuto and Markus Golser. tedsfishfry, who claimed victory in the heads-up event earlier in the series, finished in 102nd place. Dyzalot, rkruok and CrystalBalla also did very well in the event.
In the end, Sugarsweetness faced FM2T in heads-up play. However, Sugarsweetness was anything but, fiercely battling her opponent and taking the title as well as the $45,000 first place prize as her own.
Here are the final results:
1) Sugarsweetness - $45,000
2) FM2T - $28,500
3) mugam - $21,100
4) BigMich08 - $16,500
5) siphon3511 - $12,500
6) acking299 - $9,000
7) jollylester - $6,000
8) ringjob3 - $4,500
9) FattyTuna - $3,200
