Sigi Stockinger held court during Event #2 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series’ tenth edition. The name of the game was Pot Limit Omaha, a game Stockinger knows well. In fact, the former Austrian Open champion finished fifth in the PLO Knockout event in February 2008.
The $240 + $16 buy-in tournament had 1,165 entrants thereby exceeding the $200,000 guarantee. The total prize pool was $233,000 and 135 players made bank including Yuval Bronshtein, aka yuvee04. Bronstein, a mixed games specialist, made headlines over the summer for taking back to back titles at the 14th & 15th events in the FTOPS IX.
Jon “PearlJammed” Turner, Chip Jett and Gary Jones represented for Full Tilt. Jones, who goes by the nickname, “The Choirboy”, made it all the way to the final table. The popular British commentator with more than $500,000 in career earnings to date received nearly $6800 for his seventh place finish.
In the end, TeamShizzz took out wes1279 in heads-up play and claimed the $51,260.00 first place prize.
