For three months, Titan Poker players battled it out for the opportunity to play in the site’s World Challenge Main Event. In order to qualify, players were put to the test. They had to advance through a series of poker leagues. First they competed against their own countrymen and women. The survivors went on to fight against the rest of the globe.
56 players made it all the way to the World Challenge Main Event, which was held in December. In the end, one emerged victorious, winning not only $100,000 but also the title of “World Challenge Champion.” That person was Yann Lelievre, a 25 year old Frenchman who’s only been playing the game since 2006.
Lelievre admits that poker is his true “passion.” Following his big win, the dark-haired young man said that he intends “to continue playing to fulfill some more of my dreams.”
