2007 Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure Main Event winner Ryan Daut hosted the seventh event at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series X on Saturday afternoon (November 8th, 2008). The New Jersey native who dropped out of Penn State’s graduate program in Mathematics after one semester to play poker full time was one of 1,893 entrants in the $109 No-Limit Hold’em Rebuy.
Despite the 2,658 rebuys and 1,083 add-ons that players made during the event, event sponsor Full Tilt still had to put up some duckets to meet the $600,000 guarantee, a rarity for the online poker room. Hans Vogl, fifth place finisher at the 2007 Aussie Millions Main Event, was the only red Full Tilt Pro to finish in the black in the event. The German native received $660.00 for his 188th finish.
The online community, however, was well represented with the following players all making bank: CrystalBalla (152nd - $690), CrazyZachary (150th - $690), CrazyMarco (114th - $780), Halfrek (104th - $810), colenel decker (83rd - $900), G de Ipanema (69th - $1,020), NoBadBeatsPlz (56th - $1,110), dipthrong (31st - $1,620) and Colonel Mustard (11th - $4,800).
The final table was also chock-full of talent. Stephen “Stinky Budz” O’Connor was there. Unfortunately, he ran his big stack into the bigger stack of Tim “cane3418” Seidensticker’s pocket aces early on and never recovered. Soon after, he was eliminated in eighth place. Seidensticker would go on to dominate the tough field and meet Tomsk400 in heads-up play, defeating him for the title and taking down the six-figure top spot.
