Mark Herm has achieved what few online players have ever done…he’s won two online weekend events. The man known as dipthrong to many internet rounders has gone even further and achieved the near-impossible and won two online events on the same weekend. Yes, dipthrong took down the Full Tilt Sunday $750,000 this weekend and went on to claim top honors at Bodog’s $100,000 on the very same day (or night if you want to get technical about it.)
783 players paid to play in the Sunday tournament, requiring the site to dole out $21,700. dipthrong faced 1ManCrew heads-up. This was 1ManCrew’s highest finish in the event in three cashes. He’d previously taken 12th (4.15.07) and 14th (3.30.08) position. In the end, the fates (and perhaps the cards) were on dipthrong’s side. He took the title, the top prize and accomplished the rare feat of winning not one but two weekend guarantees.
